The ACTIC scheme, which certifies ICT skills, is being launched by the Government of Catalonia this week. It will enable anyone over 16 years old to obtain a certificate issued by the Government of Catalonia as proof of their computer skills, after passing a test. The ACTIC test will assess the candidates’ ICT knowledge, skills and attitudes in real situations where they are required to attain certain objectives effectively and efficiently.
There will be three levels: basic, intermediate and advanced. For each level eight competences related to ICT will be tested. To obtain the certificate candidates will have to pass an exam at an officially recognised centre. These centres, belonging to the Punt TIC network, will also offer advice and materials to those wishing to prepare for the ACTIC exams.
